Art Downtown is a vibrant annual event located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, now celebrating its 6th edition in 2025.

 

In partnership with the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association and Opus Art Supplies, this community-focused initiative transforms downtown into an inclusive and accessible open-air gallery and artist studio.

Free and open to the general public to attend, Art Downtown welcomes people of all races and genders to enjoy and engage with a diverse array of artistic expressions. One of its distinctive features is the onsite creation of art by artists, allowing attendees to witness and interact with the creative process firsthand in a plaza setting with live musical performances.

This event celebrates local artists and their work and promotes cultural enrichment and community engagement. It serves as a platform for artists to showcase their talents and fosters a sense of unity and inclusivity within the community.

 

Art Downtown aims to inspire creativity, appreciation for the arts, and connections among participants through educational workshops, interactive installations, and performances, making it a cornerstone of Vancouver's cultural calendar.
