Emerging Artist Mentorship Program
VVAF's proven mentorship program helps emerging artists reach their potential. The program pairs seasoned artists with young, emerging artists to provide one-on-one, personalized support to help mentees reach their artistic goals.
Currently, VVAF is supporting two Indigenous artists with their career growth, by teaching them about how to enhance their media presence, time management, grants and funding support, budgeting, commission negotiations, rates, and artistic development. The program is built on the idea that healthy communities thrive on creativity and diversity of expression, as well as the understanding that the key to fostering these conditions lies in experiential knowledge sharing.
