What to look forward to at Art Vancouver

Art Vancouver is two and a half weeks away! As western Canada’s largest international art fair, Art Vancouver features over 100 exhibitors from across Canada and around the world. The event runs from May 5 to 8 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West Hall A and features a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy.

Opening Night and the Face of Art Runway Show

Art Vancouver’s Opening Night is a must see! Come walk the red carpet and be one the first to see the art. Mingle with exhibitors and art lovers. Don’t miss the Face of Art Runway show where exhibitors will strut their stuff. It’s an opportunity to put a face to the name and the artwork. Don’t forget to dress to EXPRESS!

Art Games

Have you ever wanted to see a game show happen live? Friday night is Art Night Out and will feature two rounds of creative competition sponsored by the Vancouver Lego Club. The first round will feature five corporate teams and the second will be five blind date pairs. When the time is up the audience will vote on the winning sculptures.

Art Masters

On Saturday May 7 come watch exhibitors compete against each other on the clock. OPUS’ Art Masters is a painting competition where artists are given a theme, a mystery box of supplies and one hour to create a piece. Working without their paintbrushes and under pressure, the artists will test their creativity. The winner will be selected by an audience vote.
